Organised Training "Occupational Health and Safety at Work of Secondary Raw Material Collectors"

Second training organised in the frame of the project Waste no chance - Improving the employability and labor rights of Roma collectors of secondary raw materials! was held at Hotel Princess in Bar on 10-12.11. 2017. The training was delivereded by lecturers from the Association for Protection of Work of Montenegro, Sanja Dujović, B.Sc., Metallurgy, Court Expert in the field of occupational safety and Dušan Bjelica, Occupational Safety and Health Engineer, who had the opportunity to greet the present and inform them about the lecture plan, as well as to invite participants to a discussion with the goal of sharing experiences.

Organised meeting of Coalition Together for the inclusion of Roma and Egyptians

The second meeting of the Coalition Together for the Inclusion of Roma and Egyptians was held prior the national conference on education, which will be held on 13th of November 2017 and organised by Coalition in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Montenegro and the Roma Education Fund . Meeting was organised on 12.11.2017 in Hotel Aurel in Podgorica. The aim of the meeting was to exchange information between members of the Coalition, with a special focus on the field of education.

The project „Increasing employability of long-term unemployed women, Dorra Nuova“ presented within the Fair Trade of projects

On Tuesday, on 24 October in the hotel „Centreville“, it was organized a press conference in order to inform the public about the achieved results of the Operational programme „The development of human resources“ 2012-2013, which is part of the fourth component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in Montenegro.

The press conference was organized by the Ministry of Work and Social Welfare, The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Science and The Ministry of Finance of Montenegro as well as the institutions which are the part of the operational structure for the IPA component IV.

The executive director of the NGO „Young Roma“ Samir Jaha delivered the speech regarding the project „ Increasing employability of long-term unemployed women, Dorra Nuova“. He precisely said for „Pobjeda“ that the Programme encompassed 26 women, mostly from Herceg Novi, but from Tivat and Kotor, too.

Following the completed press conference, it was held the Fair Trade for projects in the same location.

The NGO Young Roma presented a variety of ornamental and colorful handcrafts in their stand.

Organized training "Association and Trade Union Activism"

NGO Young Roma in cooperation with the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro, organized a training " Association of Secondary Raw Material Collectors and Trade Union Activism" , which took place at the Hotel Princess in Bar from 3rd to 5th November 2017. The training agenda included training on the protection of the rights of workers, the role of the Union of free trade unions, the plan for the association of secondary raw material collectors in Montenegro, public advocacy and training on the subject of social enterprise.

‘Waste no chance! Enhancement of employability and labor rights of Roma waste collectors’ conference

NGO Young Roma has organized, in partnership with Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro, a conference for project ‘Waste no chance! Enhancement of employability and labor rights of Roma waste collectors’. The conference was held on Tuesday, 26th of September 2017 sat EU Info Center in Podgorica. The aim of conference was presentation of project itself.

Representative of the European Union in Montenegro, Romain Boitard took part in the conference, as well as the representatives of Free Trade Union of Montenegro, local authorities, ministries in charge, NGO’s and representatives of media.
