NVO Mladi Romi je u okviru projekta ,,Zajednička inicijativa za osnaživanje romskog civinog sektora na Zapadnom Balkanu i Turskoj" koji je podržan od strane Evropske komisije, raspisala treći Konkurs za dodjelu malih grantova nevladinim organizacijama koje svojim radom doprinose unapređenju položaja romske i egipćanske populacije u Crnoj Gori.
Rok za dostavljanje predloga projekata je 18.05.2018.
Prilikom izrade prijedloga projekta, molimo Vas da se vodite informacijama koje su navedene u Konkursu. Organizacije koje žele da apliciraju moraju popuniti Obrazac za podnošenje prijedloga projekata kao i Prijedlog budžeta.
ROMACTED - Promoting good governance and Roma empowerment at local level

We use this opportunity to inform the public that the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) has started the implementation of the regional project “ROMACTED - Promoting good governance and Roma empowerment at local level“.
The NGO „Young Roma“ was chosen to be a partner organization in the course of implementing the project for Montenegro. Four coastal municipalities - Herceg Novi, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj and three northern municipalities - Nikšić, Bijelo Polje and Berane are the ones which are going to make efforts in order to promote the position of Roma communities in the following 25 months.

We use this opportunity, on behalf of the NGO “Young Roma” and “The Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro” to inform the public about the completed training for handling with machine press, aimed at balling secondary raw materials for the group of collectors of secondary raw materials within the project „Waste no chance – Promotion of employment and working rights of Roma people, collectors of secondary raw materials. “ The training was held on 16 February 2018 in Herceg Novi.
Completed campaign for choosing the best president, Tivat Municipality won the award

NGO Young Roma is particularly pleased to inform the public about the results of the campaign for choosing the best president of the municipality, which, due to its commitment, has highly improved the position of the Roma and Egyptian minority groups within the municipality. We remind the wide public of the objective of the campaign in terms of strengthening the dialogue among the municipalities and the Roma communities as well as presenting the examples of good practice when it comes to improving the position of the Roma and Egyptian minority groups.
The four-member commission made up of the members of the representatives of the following organizations/institutions: NGO Young Roma, The Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, The Employment Agency of Montenegro and The Ministry of Human Rights and Freedoms reached the decision based on the received applications and the accompanying documentation of six self-governments (Bar, Berane, Herceg Novi, Tivat, Podgorica and Niksic).
Ms. Snezna Matijevic – the president of Tivat municipality was chosen as the best president of all the Montenegrin municipalities. In relation to this, due to its advocacy, Tivat municipality has improved the position of the Roma and Egyptian minority groups to the highest extent.
Round table with local self-governments and public utility enterprises

The NGO „Young Roma“ and „The Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro“ in partnership with “The Ministry of sustainable development and tourism” organized a round table, on 6 February 2018 in the multimedia conference hall of the Ministry, within the project “Waste no chance! – Promoting employability and labor rights of Roma waste collectors“.
The introductory panel was opened by the members of the following institutions: Herman Spitz, the Head of Cooperation Section on behalf of the “Delegation of The European Union”, Branka Milasinovic, on behalf of the “Ministry of sustainable development and tourism”, Samir Jaha on behalf of the NGO “Young Roma”, as well as Srdja Kekovic, on behalf of the „The Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro“.
