Annual Members Meeting of ERGO Network

Representatives of NGO Young Roma participated in Annual Members meeting of European Grassroots Roma (ERGO) Network from Brussels. Meeting was organised in Skopje from 20th to 22nd October 2019 and it gathered more than 30 representatives of Roma NGOs from the EU, Western Balkans and Turkey.

ROMACTED - Second National Advisory Meeting

On October 11, 2019, the second National Advisory Meeting within the ROMACTED programme was organized in Podgorica. The meeting was attended by representatives of the municipalities involved in the program, facilitators, experts hired by the Council of Europe, as well as representatives of state institutions and international organizations. Also, members of the ROMACTED team from Strasbourg and Podgorica were present at the meeting.

Consultative meeting with members of Trade Union of ''Komunalno preduzeće Nikšić''

Representative of NGO Young Roma and representatives of Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro, as a part of the project team, participated in a consultative meeting with members of Trade Union of ''Komunalno preduzeće'' from Nikšić. Meeting was held on 16th September 2019. within the project ''United we reach more – voice to students, support to workers!'' and it was attended by 15 participants, representatives of this Trade Union and Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro.

Purpose of the meeting was to announce and plan Founding Assembly of the branch Trade Union of public waste disposal companies in Montenegro.

All attendees welcomed the idea of establishment of the branch Trade Union and expressed interest in familiarisation with benefits of branch trade unions. As particularly important advantages of this form of organisation, they recognised possibility to participate in collective negotiations, initiating amendments of the legislative related to workers and companies in this area and submitting initiatives for solving problems which are identified as common to all employees in public waste disposal companies.

During the meeting, special attention was dedicated to importance of establishing international cooperation.

Project “United we reach more – voice to students, support to workers!” is financed by the European Union through European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro.
