Sub-granting scheme 2019: Training on narrative and financial reporting and signing of contract with ''Roma from north''

Representatives of NGO Young Roma conducted a field visit to 2 Roma organisations in Bijelo Polje: ''Roma from north'' and ''Romani movement''. The reason for visit was signing of the subgranting contract with ''Roma from North'', as well as delivery of training on narrative and financial reporting on project implementation, for members of these two organisations.

On this occassion, Project management team provided training on EU rules related to financial management, components of financial reporting, and financial documentation which needs to support every activity. In addition, project team presented rules of narrative reporting and visibility rules which should be respected in organisation of project activities and creation of project products and materials. As a guide, members of ''Roma from north'' and ''Romani movement'' were handed out brochure „Transparency and accountability criteria of grassroots organisation“, in whose creation NGO Young Roma took part as a member of international ERGO network.

Aim of the project „Building capacities of Roma civil society“, which is supported with 3018,00 eur, is to strengthen capacities of Roma NGOs in municipality Bijelo Polje, in order to increase their involvement in monitoring and realisation of the Local Action Plan for Roma integration in Bijelo Polje, as well as to increase their participation in creation of future strategic documents which are of importance for Roma community.

Sub-granting scheme is conducted by NGO Young Roma, as a national partner from Montenegro, in cooperation with the lead partner Roma Active Albania, in the framework of the regional project ‘Joint Initiative to Empower Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey’, funded by the European Union.
