Sub-granting scheme 2019: Training on narrative and financial reporting and signing of contract with ''Centre for affirmation of RE population''

Project team of NGO ''Young Roma'' conducted a field visit to two Roma organisations from Nikšić: ‘Centre for affirmation of RE population’’ and ‘REA Nikšić’. This visit was organised in order to sign the contract for awarding of funds through sub-granting scheme, and at the same time, to train present representatives of these organisations on narrative and financial reporting on project implementation. 

During the visit, project team trained present participants on EU rules of financial management, components of financial reporting and financial documentation which needs to support every activity. Participants we introduced to rules of narrative reporting and visibility rules related to organisation of activities and production of project materials and products. Project team also handed out the brochure ‘Transparency and accountability criteria of grassroots organisations’ in whose creation NGO Young Roma participated as a member of international ERGO Network.

The aim of the project ‘Youth representing themselves and their culture – we are here!’, which is supported with 3050,00 euros, is strengthening young Roma to actively participate in promotion of Romani culture, as well as personal positive examples as well as positive examples from their community. Project foresees organisation of forum theatres and interactive fair of Romani culture. Through implementation of these activities, project aims at establishing systemic and continuous cooperation between Roma CSOs and local educational and cultural institutions, with the overall goal to improve connections between Roma and majority population, and to render Romani culture more visible on local level.

Sub-granting scheme is conducted by NGO Young Roma, as a national partner from Montenegro, in cooperation with the lead partner Roma Active Albania, in the framework of the regional project ‘Joint Initiative to Empower Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey’, funded by the European Union.
