Visits to secondary schools in municipality of Bar

Representatives of NGO Young Roma visited high schools in Bar municipality on October 15, where students from Roma population attend classes and where our organization implements programme of mentoring support.
On that occasion, we organized meetings with the school management and discussed about the situation with attending and organizing classes in this school year, when there was a change in the way classes are conducted due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

NVO Mladi Romi raspisuje poziv za 20 učesnika/ca za učešće na projektu Mladi Crne Gore protiv govora mržnje. Projekat ima za cilj povećanje znanje i vještina mladih u Crnoj Gori o važnosti i značaju ljudskih prava sa posebnim naglaskom na prava romske i egipćanske zajednice, antidiskriminacionih politika kao i o opasnostima koje predstavlja govor mržnje, nudeći sredstva za razvijanje kontranarativa usmjerenog na suzbijanju ove pojave.

NGO Young Roma on Thursday, 15 October visited the Elementary School Blazo Jokov Orlandic in Bar.
Through an education support programme, school supplies for Roma pupils were delivered to this institution with the help of the Roma Education Fund. On that occasion, the office for associates in social inclusion of Roma students in education, which is equipped with the support of the ROMACTED programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the NGO Young Roma, officially started working.

On October 15, 2020, representatives of NGO Young Roma visited two Elementary School in Bar where classes are attended by pupils from Roma population. Also, in these schools our organization implements mentoring program for final grade Roma pupils.
These are schools:
1. Elementary school ’Blazo Jokov Orlandic’
2. Elementary school ‘Kekec’

On 9 October 2020, representatives of NGO Young Roma held a meeting with Mrs. Vera Bozovic, principal of PI Elementary School ‘Mileva Lajovic Lalatovic’, and Nada Mitrovic, school pedagogue and coordinator of the team for prevention of early school leaving for children from Roma population.
