As every year, Young Roma and the Municipality of Herceg Novi awarded 100 New Year gifts to Roma children from Herceg Novi. In addition to the gifts, a small New Year's party was organized in the presence of Santa Claus. See photos here.
New Year Handicraft Bazaar kicked off

New Year's Bazaar kicked off on 22 December and runs until 30 December 2014. Bazar is placed in the gallery space of the former Department Store MjeĊĦovito in Herceg Novi. Initiative, which was launched by the Organization of Women of Herceg Novi, was joined by 15 other presenters, including the NGO Young Roma.
Workshops for informal studying of Roma language

NGO Young Roma started with the implementation of workshops for informal learning of Roma language and culture. This project was initiated by the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, aiming at improving the situation of the Roma community and the successful integration of this population in our society.
INITIATIVE: Constitution to guarantee the right to housing

NGOs Association for Democratic Prosperity - Wall, UNO Libertask, Young Rom and Union of Free Trade Unions (USSCG) will submit the initiative for the introduction of the right to housing in the Constitution of Montenegro. These organizations have also formed the Network for development of social housing.

NGO Young Roma summarised and translated part of the concluding observations of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights on how Montenegro applies the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), one of the major international human rights treaties.
