EU Award for Roma Integration

Organization Roma Active Albania has started implementing the project EU Award for Roma Integration in the Western Balkans and Turkey for 2021 which is realized in cooperation with European Commission. The award is intended to draw attention to concrete efforts and positive results by various relevant players to enhance both access to, and quality of, employment of Roma. Gender equality and the empowerment of Roma women in the area of employment will be an important dimension.

Urgently enable the work of collectors of secondary raw materials in Bijelo Polje

The Executive Director of the NGO Young Roma, Samir Jaha, Zenita Selimović, the Executive Director of the NGO Roma from the North and Ranko Ametović, President of the Professional Union of Secondary Raw Materials Collectors, sent a request to the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapić, to appeal to the Directorate for Inspection Affairs and suspend today's action of sanctioning and banning the work of informal collectors of secondary raw materials from the settlement of Strojtanica in the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, who are forced to engage in this profession due to the impossibility of formal employment.

for hiring tutors for Roma and Egyptian students who are regular students of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grades of primary school

The NGO Young Roma is announcing a public call to hire teachers on the territory of Podgorica, Nikšić and Berane and, if possible, in other municipalities, which will hold classes in mathematics, English and Montenegrin from 19 April 2021 to 10 June 2021 students from the Roma and Egyptian populations attending the 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th (fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh) grade of primary school.
