National conference ''Improved education of Roma and Egyptian children through cooperation''
National conference ''Improved education of Roma and Egyptian children through cooperation'' was held on 29th November 2019. Conference was attended by representatives of civil society, members of Coalition, representatives of primary schools, mentors and mediators in education, representatives of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Ministry of Education, Ombudsman's Office as well as representatives of other relevant national institutions and international organisations.
Conference had a working character, and it was used as an opportunity for actors which are directly or indirectly involved in the process of education of Roma and Egyptian children to discuss current challenges, and to create recommendations for improvement of education. Among others, these recommendations include:
Visit to Municipality of Berane
During this visit we participated at the meeting between the CAG members and Local authorities.
Working meeting of Coalition
Working meeting of members of Coalition ''United support to Roma inclusion'' was held on 17th November in Bar. This meeting was held following the two-day seminar on Roma responsive budgeting in which also participated members of Coalition.
Meeting was used as an opportunity for overview and discussion on activities in the framework of the project ''Joint Initiative to Empower Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey'', including the Most Roma friendly Mayor campaign and this year's sub-granting scheme.
