Six families returned to Kosovo [RTCG]

Return of six families to Naklo village, near Pec is going to be organized today, and voluntary return of internally displaced persons to Kosovo will be attended by the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Zorica Kovacevic and the head of the UNHCR office in Montenegro Mustafa Server Caylan. These families, with a total of 36 members have been living in Montenegro since 1999.
Most have so far lived in Podgorica - three families in the camp Konik 1, two families in private accommodation in Konik, and one in the "Riverside" in Berane.
"Each of these six families in Kosovo will be provided with home and returnees package - the basic furniture, food for six months and tools and machinery for self-employment. The houses are built on land donated by the Municipality of Peja, as a result of negotiations conducted with local authorities led by IOM and UNHCR, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Montenegro and the Ministry for Return of Kosovo community."
The funds were provided through the European Union project RRK 4, which is implemented by the Kosovo IOM office - International Organisation for Migration.
Transportation of families and their belongings and part of returnee packages is provided the Danish Refugee Council, through a project funded by the European Union through theDelegation of the European Union to Montenegro through the "Assistance Program for Integration and the return of RAE and other I / RL residing in the camps Konik - Phase II ".
The project is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council in partnership with the NGO HELP and in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare - Directorate for Refugees and UNHCR.
"Since it is not easy to decide to return after 16 years spent in another country and a different environment, the Ministry of Labour and Welfare socijanog, UNHCR, DRC and their partner organizations have invested a lot of effort to identify families who are willing to return, to collaborate with their colleagues at Kosovo as to carry out the necessary checks, to inform families about the possibilities of re-integration in Kosovo and to support them in the process of making a final decision to return", a statement from the Ministry said.
The return of another 15 families to Kosovo is expected during the next month.
