In order to ensure greater involvement of community members in improving the Roma integration process, a meeting of the Community Action Group (CAG) was organized in Bar, in Sokolana settlement, on July 5, 2020. The mentioned meeting was organized and led by facilitators for the Municipality of Bar - Sabra Decevic and Vasfije Tusha together with representatives of the Roma population who want to actively contribute to improving the quality of life of the community in this municipality.
The meeting discussed the situation with the epidemic of the COVID-19 virus, how it affected and affects the Roma community in this settlement, as well as the importance of all three levels of education (pre-school, primary and secondary education) of young people, especially women members of the Roma community. One of the problems that need to be solved in this area, and which the members of the CAG especially pointed out, is the transportation of children to kindergarten, which greatly complicates the enrollment and continuity of attending it. Also, at the meeting, it was pointed out that in the next period, special attention should be paid to the improvement of infrastructure of the settlement, which would greatly improve the way of life and daily functioning of the inhabitants of the Sokolana settlement.
