Meeting with parents and mentors in Elementary School “Marko Miljanov” in Podgorica

On December 10th 2019, representatives of NGO Young Roma attended the meeting at the premises of Primary School “Marko Miljanov” in Podgorica. This was a joint gathering of mentors, parents of students and members of NGO “Young Roma”, with the aim to meet each other, as well as to introduce parents to activities that will be implemented in the future by mentors. Activities will be targeted to the students from Roma and Egyptian population who are in eight and ninth grades in this and also in other targeted schools by the project.

This was a joint gathering of mentors, parents of students and members of NGO “Young Roma”, with the aim to meet each other, as well as to introduce parents to activities that will be implemented in the future by mentors. Activities will be targeted to the students from Roma and Egyptian population who are in eight and ninth grades in this and also in other targeted schools by the project.

There are eight students in this school, while nine students from the Roma population are in the ninth grade. With a limited number of students who can be covered by the project, four eighth grade students will have mentors, as well as all ninth grade students. Four mentors-teachers were selected to accompany these students during the school year.
