Sub-granting scheme 2019: Training on narrative and financial reporting and signing of contract with ''Association of Egyptians''

Project team of NGO ''Young Roma'' conducted a field visit to ''Association of Egyptians'' in Tivat, on 19th September 2019. Reason for visit was signing of contract for provision of support within the sub-granting scheme, as well as provision of training on narrative and financial reporting on project implementation.
On this occasion, project team trained members of ''Association of Egyptians'' on EU rules related to financial management, components of financial reporting and financial documentation which should support every project activity. Project team also presented rules of narrative reporting and visibility rules related to organisation of activities and creation of project products. Members of ''Association of Egyptians'' were handed ''Transparency and accountability criteria of grassroots organisations'' brochure, in whose development NGO Young Roma participated as a member of international ERGO Network.
Aim of the project ''Everyone in school!'', which is supported by sub-grant in the amount of 3000,00 euros, is the increased number of Romani and Egyptian children in local educational institutions. Through implementation of this project, ''Association of Egyptians'' will launch licensing of one primary school for delivery of primary school educational programme for adults and for delivery of programme of basic functional literacy. This activity will be conducted in cooperation with primary school ‘Drago Milović’ from Tivat. In addition, project foresees creation of database of Roma and Egyptian pupils with dropped out of primary education in municipalities Tivat, Budva and Kotor, as well as organisation of motivational workshops for future beneficiaries of the educational programme for adults.
Providing support to CSOs through sub-granting scheme is conducted by NGO Young Roma, national partner organisation from Montenegro, in cooperation with lead partner Roma Active Albania, in project ‘Joint Initiative to Empower Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey’, funded by the European Union.
