Roma evening in Herceg Novi

For the first time in Herceg Novi, an evening of song, laughter and traditional Roma specialties was organized by activists of our organization, in cooperation with NGO "Nova Urban" and NGO "Orca". 

The original idea to present traditional Roma gastronomic specialties and exchange cultural cutoms was fruitful. The guests of Roma evening came from different sides, from Herceg Novi and Montenegro in general, but also from the region, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and the distant Ukraine.

The traditional table setting was colorful: peppers in sour cream, tarator-fresh cucumber with herbs in cream, flija-Roma pie made under metal pan, canapés with chicken spicy sauce, and chicken with vegetables served in a traditional pan, on the middle of "sofra".

In addition to the specialties prepared by members of our organization, guests could enjoy the quality of Roma music from all over the world. The repertoire included songs of Šaban Bajramović, Gypsies Ivanovići, Elena Rutkowska, Spanish and Russian gypsy songs.
