On strengthening self-confidence with young people from Bar

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, the NGO Young Roma organized a workshop on "Strengthening self-confidence" at the Secondary Vocational School in Bar.

The workshop was led by Aida Perovic-Ivanovic, a psychologist, youth worker, and executive director of the NGO Prima.

On the workshop it was discussed how each person can improve and strengthen their self-confidence, what are the barriers that prevent us from feeling confident as well as how the environment affects an individual's self-confidence.

The students listened to the lecturer with interest and took an active part in the workshop. Many of them also shared examples from their personal lives about in which situations they felt more and in which less self-confidence.

Perovic-Ivanovic emphasized the importance of choosing a friend as one of the key components that affects the self-confidence of individuals.

The workshop was held within the project Learning support to secondary school Roma students supported by the UNICEF Office in Montenegro and implemented by the NGO Young Roma.
