Increasing the employability of long-term unemployed women - DorraNuova

NGO Young Roma in partnership with the NGO Hands from HercegNovi, started with implementation of the project "Increasing employability of long-term unemployed women - DorraNuova". Project is supported by the Ministry of Finance through the funds of the European Union. This pilot project will include 24 long-term unemployed women from the territory of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat.
The main objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of economic and social rights of Roma and other long-term unemployed women from the territory of Herceg Novi, Kotor and Tivat, through inclusion in the labor market. The project will increase the capacity for employment and self-employment, and will be facilitated through a series of training sessions, workshops, process of building partnerships and cooperation with relevant civil society organizations.
Experts in the field of jewelry and handicrafts, financial management and administration, and management of marketing will increase the knowledge of women who are going to be involved in the project through workshops and practical trainings. After the trainings in mentioned areas, the project participants will be engaged for a period of seven months. Thus, they will have a chance to apply gained knowledge and skills into creation of unique jewelry and handicrafts that will find its place at fairs and festivals, as well as on promotional stands in Herceg Novi, Kotor and Tivat.
