Meeting with Community Action Group members in Bar

On December 19, members of the ROMACTED team held a meeting with members of the Community Action Group from Bar in the premises of the municipality. The meeting was held as a regular activity of the facilitator Sabra Decević and it was discussed about the formation of a youth Roma NGO.

In earlier meetings held between the ROMACTED team and the representatives of the Bar Municipality, the issue of forming a Roma NGO in Bar was often put to the forefront, and therefore a meeting was organized with members of the Community Action Group. At the meeting, the attendees had the opportunity to find out more about what is actually a non-governmental organization, how it can be formed, what are the benefits of engagement in a non-governmental organization, and how the NGO is financed and financially maintained.

At the meeting, it was concluded that additional meetings will be held in the upcoming period, where they will discuss more specifically the formation of a Roma non-governmental organization.
