Seminar: Integration of RE Population in Montenegro – Going Local, Going Concrete

Delegation of European Union in Montenegro organized seminar on key issues and results achieved in the field of inclusion of RE population in Montenegro. Participants were representatives of ministries as well as relevant domestic and international organizations active on matter of RE social inclusion.
Seminar was opened by H.E. Ambassador of Delegation of EU in Montenegro, Mitja Drobnic, as well as by Suad Numanovic, Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Marta Garcia Fidalgo, Senior advisor on coordination of Roma policy, Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission and Nikola Dedeic, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
Roma and pro-Roma CSO representatives contributed to active discussion by elaborating on key issues Roma and Egyptian population, i.e. social and health protection of RE population, civic registration and regulating of their legal status, education as well as employment of RE population, with accent on camps Konik I and Konik II.
