"ID cards" for two Roma NGOs

We present you one of 3 projects which were supported through sub-granting scheme in 2019. – Project “Building of capacities of Roma civil society” which was implemented in partnership by 2 young Roma NGOs from Bijelo Polje – “Roma from North” and “Romani Movement”.
During three months of project implementation, following results were achieved:
- Through this project, supported with funds of 3018,00 euro, an additional step forward was made in promotion and improvement of Roma civil society in the north of Montenegro, while 2 partnering organisations strengthened their capacities, established cooperation with civil society and local institutions, and positioned themselves as trustful partners in their community.
- Members of 2 Roma NGOs attended training “Strategic planning and organisational management”, during which their gained skills related to strategic management, planning, developing of mission and vision of organisation and acting on local level. Result of the training is also development of “ID cards” of these two organisations, which contain mission and vision of organisations.
- 9 Roma attended 2-month course ''Basic level of digital literacy'' and got certificates upon successful completion of the course – through this activity they gained useful experience on use of computers, digital literacy and communication, which will serve them as valuable personal and business skill.
- Round table “Network for support to Roma integration” was organised, during with Coalition agreement was signed between 6 Roma and pro-Roma CSOs and educational institution “Secondary vocational school” for further joint endeavours in the aim to achieve quality and effective inclusion of Roma inclusion in Bijelo Polje.
Project “Joint Initiative to Empower Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey” ended on 31.12.2020. after 4 years of implementation. In the scope of this project, sub-granting programme was conducted, through which 11 projects were supported,and which contributed to strengthening of Roma civil society and of capacities of Roma community in different parts of Montenegro.
