Certificate award ceremony to participants of student activism program ''Voice to students''

In the framework of project "United we reach more- Voice to students, support to workers!", the certificate award ceremony for participants of the student activism program "Voice to students" was organized. The certificate award ceremony was held on April 8 in the EU Info Center in Podgorica. Participants were awarded with certificates for having successfuly completed student activism program. The program was attended by students, activists of the Roma and majority populations.

The aim of the project is to enhance involvement of students and activists of Roma and majority population in shaping the political and public life of Montenegro, in order to influence the public policy making and decision-making process in the most efficient manner.

In the framework of the Program, four seminars were conducted. Through these seminars, participants were educated on topics of democracy and human rights, the political system of Montenegro and public policies, relevant aspects of public appearance, as well as parliamentary debates. Also, simulations of parliamentary debates were organized, two at the Faculty of Political Sciences and two at the Faculty of Law in Podgorica.

Speakers at the certificate award ceremony were Task manager of EU delegation in Montenegro   Mladenka Tešić, Ivana Mihajlović on behalf of the Union of Free Trade Unions in Montenegro, as well as executive director of NGO Young Roma, Samir Jaha.

In this way, one cycle related to the education of students through the organization of the seminars was completed. Work with certain students will continue through the establishment of Working group for drafting monitoring and advocacy plan for public activism of youth in Montenegro.
