Organized field visit to Roma settlement in Pljevlja

In order to resolve legal status and problems with identification document of Roma situated in Pljevlja, representative of NGO Young Roma participated in two day field visit to settlement Trlica, which was organized on 22-23.06.2017.


On that occasion she took part in a field visit together with mobile team of Ministry of Interior Affairs Kosovo and UNHCR, aimed at continuation of work on resolving legal status for inhabitants of settlement. Namely, field visit resulted with positive outcome for four persons, who resolved the documents and will receive the passports in the upcoming period. Additionally with certain number of persons were conducted interviews, which will serve to plan further stems on resolve of status.

On the second day of the field visit, in organization of NGO Young Roma, meetings with representatives of Ministry of interior affairs Pljevlja and Red cross Pljevlja, were held. Aim of mentioned meetings was detailed analysis of needs of Roma situated in Trlica, as well as agreement on further actions, needed to resolve their legal status. Through the insight in documentation, a list of persons who need assistance was created. Coordinated work of all mentioned actors and NGO Young Roma will be continued with the aim to provide legal status resolved for Roma inhabited in Trlica.
