Meeting with representatives of the Center for Roma initiatives Nikšić

A representative of the NGO Young Roma Samir Jaha visited on 24/10/2016. The Center for Roma Initiatives in Nikšić where they held a consultative meeting on the matter of improving the situation of the Roma community in the municipality of Nikšić.

At the occasion of the meeting, representatives of the Center for Roma Initiatives, were given the detailed information related to the project ,, Joint initiative tor Empower Roma civil society in the Western Balkans and Turkey "as well as activities implemented under the project. At the meeting were also discussed the activities of the organizations related to the improvement of the situation of the Roma and Egyptian population.

Representatives of the Center for Roma Initiatives also were provided with all the necessary information related to the competition for small grants that the NGO Young Roma, issued under the above mentioned project. They were informed how to apply, were introduced with necessary guidance and information, as well as deadlines for applications.

At the meeting were exchanged information relating to the situation of the Roma community in area of education, employment and housing, discussed the possibilities for cooperation, discussed the need to develop a local action plan for the municipalities and the steps that organizations could take in this direction.
