Invitation for participation in the first debate within the “Beat your prejudice!“ project at the Faculty of Political Science in Podgorica

As a part of “Beat your prejudice” project that NGO Young Roma implements in cooperation with Debate club from Faculty of Political Science “Agora”, first debate will be held at the Faculty of Political Science (Hall I) on Tuesday 15th of November, at 1:00 pm.

Project “Beat your prejudice!” is financed by the Embassy of the United States - Podgorica, through Democracy Commission Small Grants Program, and will last till May of 2017. Its aim is to raise awareness on necessity of reduction of discrimination, racism and persistent negative cultural prejudices against Roma by working with young citizens of Montenegro.

Through Forum Theater plays in 3 high schools, 3 parliamentarian debates at different faculties and one street performance for the International Roma Day, Montenegrin teenagers and students will be engaged in an open debate on hot topics that will trigger their analytical potential. Project will target at least 300 young persons, 15- 25 years old, from 3 Montenegrin municipalities – Podgorica, Niksic and Herceg Novi.

We invite all interested parties to come and take participation in the first debate, learn about problems that young Roma are facing in Montenegro and break down the stereotypes surrounding Roma community.
