On Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30, Young Roma activists visited Roma settlements in Kotor (Prvoborac and Lovanja 2) and Herceg Novi (Sistet), with the aim to analyse the situation on the field and to check the conditions in which members of the Roma and Egyptian communities live.
Field visits were especially organized with the intent to make needs assesment in the area of housing, in order to start the process of resolving housing needs of vulnerable Roma and Egyptian families. During the stay in Herceg Novi, representatives of the NGO Young Roma visited the village Drenovik, where there are ongoing works on the construction of 6 housing units for Roma families from the settlement Sistet. This activity is implemented in cooperation of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, a German NGO Help, Young Roma, and with the financial support of the German Embassy in Montenegro through the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
