Preparatory meeting for the workshop on anti-gypsyism

Prior to the conference to be held on 30 - 31 January - Discrimination against Roma: The Challenges of Anti-Gypsyism and Multiple Discrimination, NGO Young Roma contacted 10 Roma CSOs via E-mail, informing them of the upcoming event, followed by the invitation to attend the meeting in the premises of DFP to provide them with more details.

The meeting organised on 23^rd January, was attended by 16 participants, out of which 12 were Roma (two Roma persons came from the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights). The main topic of the meeting was to consider the opportunities for Roma CSOs representatives to take part in the conference. It was agreed among present participants to ask Decade Secretariat to include Ms Fatima Naza from Centre for Roma Initiatives in the panel on gender issues. Meeting delegates were also provided with registration forms and asked to distribute it to all interested parties.
