PRAGUE: Third Decade Focal Points meeting

The third DFP meeting (30-31 May 2014), gathered around 20 representatives of DFP network from 12 countries and Decade Secretariat. All participants had to prepare presentation containing information on activities related to the participation at the anti-Gypsyism workshop, EU Roma Summit and the Bucharest meeting on the Decade future undertaken in order to ensure wide engagement of the civil society in each country, activities related to sharing information about the Decade to national partners, eventual cooperation with the international Decade partners and advocacy activities.

Mr Samir Jaha, representative of DFP Montenegro, focused his presentation on challenges for the implementation of Decade Focal Point program, activities undertaken at national level from January to May 2014 and initiatives and projects implemented by NGO Young Roma, either individually or in partnership with international organisations and other Roma CSOs. He also pointed to the recent development of cooperation with the EU Delegation in Montenegro. Namely, this cooperation was intensified both with NGO Young Roma and Roma CSOs, as Mr Jaha started working as a part-time trainee in the Delegation in the Political Department.
