announces a Public Call

for hiring tutors for students of the Roma and Egyptian populations

The NGO Young Roma is announcing a competition to hire teachers/professors from the following municipalities: Herceg Novi, Bar, Ulcinj, Tivat, Podgorica, Nikšić, Berane, Kotor and Bijelo Polje, which will from August 1, 2021 to August 20, 2021 organize tutoring classes in subjects from which 34 Roma students remained on the remedial exam in August.

Tutors will be assigned the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Creating a detailed work plan with clear teaching units based on the initial assessment of the level of knowledge of students in a particular subject
  • Holding individual / group classes lasting 45 minutes based on the formed assessment and work plan
  • Tutors are required to hold classes live with students respecting all epidemiological measures
  • Writing and submitting a monthly report on its work according to a form to be submitted by the NGO Young Roma

Tutor selection criteria:

  • Graduate teachers of subjects from which Roma students have negative grades - listed in the document Text of the Call
  • Teacher work experience in one of the target subjects in primary school and secondary school of at least 3 years of work experience
  • Experience in working with students from marginalized groups and additional classes
  • Understanding the educational difficulties that children from the Roma population face
  • Computer skills

Note: The fee for one tutor is 10 EUR per class. Fee is paid at the end of the program, after the tutor submits a report. One tutor can organize individual or group classes, depending on the plan to be agreed with the Young Roma organization. Compensation is paid only for realized classes.

In addition to the completed application form, the candidate who teaches at the same school where the Roma student remained in the remedial exam is required to submit the consent of the school principal for his / her potential engagement in this program. The form for the consent of the director was also submitted with this competition.
