NGO Young Roma organized workshop on reproductive health at the Secondary vocational school Sergije Stanic

The NGO Young Roma at the Secondary School for Secondary and Higher Vocational Education Sergije Stanic in Podgorica organized a workshop on reproductive health.

The lecture was held by Aida Perovic-Ivanovic, a psychologist, youth worker and executive director of the NGO Prima.

Breaking taboos on this topic, Roma, as well as students from the majority population, actively participated in the debate through interesting questions to which they had ready answers.

Perovic-Ivanovic spoke about how young people in Montenegro look at their bodies, especially under the influence of photoshopped photos, marketing and trends.

She pointed out the importance of care and nursing for maintaining the health of the reproductive organs. Participants discussed about sexual contraception, delusions and false information among young people about these topics.

The workshop was held within the project Learning support for Roma students, supported by the UNICEF office in Montenegro and implemented by the NGO Young Roma.
